The leather cords we use for pendants are genuine leather. Because they are thin enough, they require more care than, say, belt leather.
To make the pendant last longer, we recommend removing it during sports, when there is more contact with skin sweat, as well as when going for a swim when in direct contact with water. Water can adversely affect the skin of a pendant, so over time it can simply break, wear out and lose its original function.
